Leave these out
- Patient names, ages or birthdays
- Exact dates or times of the call
- Street names, towns or facility names
- Rare conditions or details someone could recognize
- Coworkers’ names, unless they agreed
What makes a good one
- One call, one moment, told start to finish
- What you felt, not just what you did
- What it taught you, if anything
- Your own voice. Don’t polish it too much.
What happens next
We read every submission, make light edits for clarity and privacy, and email you the final version to approve before it’s published.
